
Concorde Capital held its fourth annual investment conference on April 24-25 at the Hyatt Regency in Kyiv, Ukraine. The theme, Bullying the Bears, reflects Concorde Capital's strategic outlook of the outperformance of Ukrainian investments in 2008 despite the global bear market. The event brought together representatives from leading global investment funds and the top management of listed Ukrainian companies. The conference opened with comments by Viktor Yushchenko, Ukraine's President, Petro Poroshenko, Chairman of Supervisory Council of the National Bank of Ukraine, Sergiy Tigipko, Co-Chairman of Investors Council under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, and Konstantin Fisun, Concorde Capital's Director of Research. Events included a satellite appearance by Dr. Alan Greenspan, ex-chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve of the United States, and site visits to companies located in Kyiv area and Eastern Ukraine.
