Concorde Capital voted second in Ukraine in Thomson Reuters 2011 Extel Survey

KYIV, JUNE 9 – Concorde Capital was named #2 brokerage firm in Ukraine in the 2011 Thomson Reuters Extel Survey, according to results released yesterday.

It is the fifth straight year Concorde Capital has placed among the top-three in Ukraine and one place higher than its ranking in 2010.

Concorde Capital also placed very highly in the regional ranking – it was named the highest rated Ukraine-based brokerage in all Emerging Europe for the third straight year, at #14, up one place from 2010.

In terms of individual awards, Concorde Capital’s team also excelled. Head of Research Andriy Gerus was named the #2 investment analyst in Emerging Europe, ahead of analysts from global banks such as UBS, Morgan Stanley and Bank of America.

Gerus was also voted the #2 individual in Ukraine country research, followed by another Concorde Capital analyst at #3, Yegor Samusenko.

Ukraine first appeared in the Extel Survey in 2007.

This year, across Europe, the Extel Survey included the participation of 2,250 buyside firms, 2,500 analysts from 240 brokerage firms and 750 of Europe’s largest quoted companies. All data, votes received and methodology were verified by Deloitte. The survey gave out over 400 awards this year to buyside, sellside and corporate entities.
