Ukraine real GDP growth accelerates to 3.4% yoy in 4Q18

Ukraine real GDP growth accelerates to 3.4% yoy in 4Q18

15 February 2019

Ukraine’s 4Q18 real GDP grew 3.4% yoy, or 1.1% qoq
seasonally adjusted, accelerating from 2.8% yoy (0.4% qoq) in 3Q18, according
to preliminary estimates by the State Statistics Service released on Feb. 14.

Evgeniya Akhtyrko: The 4Q18
accelerating growth was driven by a record-high grain harvest. We expect 2018
GDP growth to have reached 3.3% yoy, which is the estimate with the current
data (barring any revisions).

We expect Ukraine’s economy to slow to 2.9% yoy
growth this year.
