Milkiland EBITDA falls 12% yoy in 2013, despite revenue growth

Milkiland EBITDA falls 12% yoy in 2013, despite revenue growth

10 March 2014

Diversified dairy producer Milkiland (MLK PW) reported on March 6 its preliminary financials for 2013, including revenue of EUR 341 mln (+19% yoy) and EBITDA of EUR 33 mln (-12%). The decrease in its EBITDA margin to 9.6% from 13% a year ago was due to increased raw milk prices, which outweighed growth in selling prices during the period, the company said. In its 2014 outlook, Milkiland outlined plans for improving its product mix towards high-value added products, an increase of own raw milk production by 40% yoy, and boosted capacity utilization of its Polish plant Ostrowia to 50% from 22% in 2013.
