EU urges Tymoshenkos release following Lutsenkos release

The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy urged the administration of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych to arrange for the release of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, following the release of former Internal Affairs Minister Yuriy Lutsenko. “They need to address the outstanding case of selective use of justice,” Maja Kocijancic, the EU High Representative spokeswoman, told an April 9 press conference.
