Ukrtransgaz sues Stirol to recover UAH 24.5 mln of gas debts

Ukrtransgaz sues Stirol to recover UAH 24.5 mln of gas debts

27 June 2011

Ukrtransgaz, a daughter company of state Naftogaz, brought a claim against Stirol to return a UAH 24.5 mln debt, according to Ukrainian News on Friday. This amount consists of UAH 15 mln of the debt itself and approx. UAH 10 mln of inflation surcharges and various fines. The court hearing originally scheduled for June 14th was moved to July 5th due to Stirol failing to meet the court’s requirements. Antonina Davydenko: despite the fact that the amount claimed constitutes only 2% of Stirol’s 1Q11 accounts payable the news triggers a negative sentiment for the stock especially since Ukrtransgaz has already cut Stirol’s gas supply in spring 2008.
