TPP electricity generation to increase 12.5% y-o-y in 2011

In 2011 the National Energy Company of Ukraine (NC ECU) that controls Donbasenergo (UX: DOEN UK), Centenergo (UX: CEEN UK), Zakhidenergo (UX: ZAEN UK), Dniproenergo (UX: DNEN UK) plans to increase the thermal power output to 55.9 bln KWh, up 12.5% y-o-y, according to company’s press service on Friday. Electricity output growth is triggered by escalating domestic demand and increasing exports. In 2010 the TPPs controlled by the National Energy Company of Ukraine (NC ECU) increased thermal power generation by 5.4% y-o-y to 49.7 TWh.
