Antimonopoly Committee gives UMH permission to acquire Nashe Radio, KP Media

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine announced on Friday that it gave permission for United Media Holding (FSE: A65 GF) to acquire more than 50% of UBMH Broadcast Media Holdings Ltd (Cyprus), which controls Nashe Radio, and more than 25% of KP Media, Interfax reported. In April, news reports indicated UMH and Ukrainian businessman Petro Poroshenko acquired KP Media from its founder Jed Sunden. KP Media publishes the news magazine Korrespondent and the Kyiv Business Directory; it also controls the several popular internet portals including bigmir.net, korrespondent.net.
