Kyiv City Council approves plans for new USD 300 mln Eurobond

The Kyiv City Council approved issuing USD 300 mln in a 5-year Eurobond with a coupon of up to 7.8%. The city plans to use USD 200 mln of the proceeds to repay the principal on its 2004 Eurobonds (payment due on July 15) and the balance to finance social-economic programs in the city. Kyiv has two other outstanding Eurobond issues: USD 250 mln maturing in 2012 and USD 250 mln maturing in 2015.
