Broadband customer base grows by 16% q-o-q in 3Q10

3 December 2010

Ukraine`s broadband customer base grew by 16% q-o-q in 3Q10 to 2.9 mln, Interfax reported yesterday citing iKS-Consulting. Ukrtelecom (UX: UTLM UK), the incumbent fixed line operator, remained the leader with a 36% share of the market. Yegor Samusenko: Though broadband revenues constituted only 14% of Ukrtelecom’s 2009 top line, we expect this segment to be a major top line driver in 2010-2015. Assuming new efficient management takes the rudder after the privatization scheduled for 28 Dec 2010 we project a 29% CAGR for 2010-2015E revenues from broadband, which should result in this segment reaching 36% of total sales in 2015E.
