SPF to put blocks in 4 Oblenergos up for sale again in June

The State Property Fund of Ukraine said that it plans to put up blocks in four Oblenergos up for sale again in June, Deputy Head Yuriy Yakovlev said on Friday, according to Interfax. The SPF plans to offer ~25% stakes in Prykarpatoblenergo (UX: PREN UK), Poltavaoblenergo (UX: POON UK), and Sumyoblenergo in small blocks and a 25.01% stake in Odesaoblenergo (UX: ODEN UK) as one block. The SPF had been offering stakes in the first three Oblenergos as a single block on a weekly basis from May 2009 to March 2010, but bidders never materialized. Yegor Samusenko: The common methodology for the SPF to determine the starting price is to take the 6M average of last sale price on the PFTS. Given that, we expect major shareholders in these Oblenergos (Grigorishyn, Surkis and VS Energy) to actively lower prices on the PFTS in order to decrease the starting price of the tenders.
