Dnipropetrovsk plans UAH 70 mln local bond issue

The Dnipropetrovsk City Council plans to issue UAH 70 mln in local bonds, Mayor Ivan Kulichenko reported yesterday. The city is currently in negotiations with Oshchadbank about purchasing its bonds. Proceeds from the issuance will be used to carry out road repairs. Dnipropetrovsk approved the issuance of UAH 50 mln in bonds in September 2009, but the issue was never made.  Dnipropetrovsk, in Eastern Ukraine, has a population of over 1 mln.
