Turboatom wins tender for Kazakh TPP turbine

Turboatom (UX: TATM UK) announced yesterday that it won a tender with the Eurasian Energy Corporation to provide equipment for the modernization of the Aksu thermal power plant in Kazakhstan, Interfax reported. Turboatom is expected to deliver a new 325 MW turbine; it would be the fourth it has modernized at the Aksu TPP. Turboatom said it plans to sign the relevant contract in February. Yegor Samusenko: We estimate the value of the contract in a range of USD 15-25 mln, ~17-25% of 2010E annual sales.
