Money supply down 5.5%, monetary base up 4.4% in 2009

Ukraine’s money supply (M3) declined 5.5% yoy to UAH 487.5 bln in 2009, the National Bank of Ukraine announced on its website yesterday. M3 grew 3.6% in the month of December. The monetary base increased 4.4% over 2009 to UAH 19.5 bln; it expanded 7.5% mom in December alone.
