Japan’s R&I cuts Ukraine’s rating to ‘B+’

Japanese rating agency Rating & Investment Information announced this week that it downgraded Ukraine’s foreign currency issuer rating from ‘BB-‘ to ‘B+’ with a negative outlook. R&I cited, as rationale for the decision, the fading prospects for passing the FY2010 state budget and political uncertainty.
