Bodgan Motors completes 94 school buses

24 November 2009

Bogdan Motors (LUAZ) said it finished 94 school buses that will be purchased by the Ukrainian government from the stabilization fund, Interfax reported yesterday. Bogdan is due to make 194 school buses in total – 71 21-seaters, 112 25-seaters, 2 30-seaters and 9 buses for passengers with special needs. Overall, the government plans to buy 638 school buses in 2009 from local automakers. Yegor Samusenko: Two state orders, the one mentioned here and another for automobiles for people with disabilities from ZAZ, have been the only form of state support to domestic auto manufacturers this year, when demand fell 6x yoy. For Bogdan Motors, we estimate this order would bring in UAH 46.5 mln in revenue, ~4% of 2009E sales.
