Moody's moves up Prominvestbank's ratings

3 November 2009

Moody’s Investors Service said yesterday that it raised the long-term foreign and local currency deposit ratings of Prominvestbank from ‘Caa2’ to ‘B3/B2.’ The agency also increased the bank financial stability rating from ‘E’ to ‘E+’ and national scale rating from ‘B3.ua’ to ‘A2.ua.’ Moody’s said the moves were a reflection of the financial support given to the bank by its Russian parent Vnesheconombank.
