Kyiv court forbids privatization of 22.4% of Aerosvit

A Kyiv administrative court ruled on September 22 to forbid the privatization of the state’s 22.394% stake in airline Aerosvit, several local news agencies reported. At the beginning of September, the State Property Fund asked Aerosvit shareholders for proposals for the state’s stake, otherwise it was planning to sell the shares to other companies. Yesterday, separately, four current shareholders of Aerosvit said they were interested in acquiring the state’s stake in the company. The company was established in 1994. In 2008 it transported 2.5 mln people on 30 ths flights. Its fleet includes 14 Boeing 737s and three 767s.
