Ukrros targets decreasing sugar output 28% yoy in 2009

Ukrros (UROS) said yesterday that it is targeting the production of 144 ths mt of beet sugar in 2009, a decrease of 27.8% yoy, according to Interfax. Ukrros expects that beets produced in-house will account for about 50% of its inputs this season. The company plans to begin harvesting sugar beets on September 5.
