XXI Century dismisses nominated advisor

XXI Century (XXIC LN) announced yesterday that ING Bank will no longer serve as its nominated advisor; the company said it is in negotiations with a new advisor and is finalizing agreements shortly. XXI Century, according to AIM listing rules, must appoint a new advisor by October 1. The company said that it plans to release its interim financial statements for 1H09 by September 30. XXI Century said it is awaiting formal confirmation that a restructuring agreement is reached with its bank lenders on a secured term loan before publishing its 2008 financial accounts.
