The Antonov Design Bureau said on Friday that the first two An-70 Ruslan aircraft could be rolled off the line in 2012. The An-70 is designed for military transportation; it can carry a maximum load of 47 mt at a top speed of 780 km/hr. Yegor Samusenko: Each An-70 uses four D-436-148 engines, produced by Motor Sich (MSICH). Thus, the production of two Ruslan planes would imply orders for eight engines, estimated to be worth of USD 28 mln.
