Motor Sich to modernize engines of India's An-32 fleet

22 June 2009

Last week, India’s Ministry of Defense signed an agreement with Ukraine’s Ukrspetsexport to modernize the Indian Air Force’s 105 An-32 aircraft for USD 400 mln. According to Interfax, the agreement foresees the modernization of the planes’ engines at Motor Sich (MSICH). Interfax reported that the contract is the second largest military agreement in Ukraine’s history by volume, after a USD 650 mln tank order to Pakistan in 1996.
