VEB eyeing USD 200 mln subordinated loan for Prominvestbank

Russia’s Vnesheconombank (VEB) is considering grating Prominvestbank a ten-year USD 200 mln subordinated loan, Vladimir Dmitriev, chair of VEB’s management board, said at a press conference in Kyiv yesterday. According to Dmitriev, the loan may be extended to Prominvestbank before the end of the year. Russia’s Vnesheconombank agreed to acquire a 75%+1 stake in Prominvestbank in January 2009. Prominvestbank is Ukraine’s #7 largest lender by assets, according to National Bank of Ukraine statistics as of April 1, 2009.
