Dakor decreases sugar beet plantings by 37.5% yoy in 2009

Dakor (DAKOR) has reduced its area planted with sugar beets for harvest in 2009 by 37.5% yoy or by 7.5 ths ha, according to Chief Agronomist Alexander Sova (via Ukrainian News). In addition, Sova said the company has planed 26.5 ths ha of other spring crops, 10% more than planned; in total, Dakor planted 15.8 ths ha with brewing barley, 1.5 ths ha with wheat, 1.2 ths ha with oats, 1.3 ths ha with rapeseed, and 1.8 ths ha with buckwheat. Dakor plans to begin its spring harvest campaign in mid-June.
