MHP to launch new oil extraction plant in September

Mironivskiy Hliboproduct (MHPC LI) will launch a new oil extraction plant in Katerinpol, Cherkasy region in September 2009, Yuriy Kosyuk, chairman of the company’s administration said yesterday, according to Interfax. The new facility will have a daily processing capacity of 600 mt each of sunflower seeds and soy. Kosyuk said MHP had invested USD 800 mln in the facility since it began its development in 2004. MHP currently operates one sunflower processing plant in Kyiv region that processes 1.24 ths mt of seeds per day. Kosyuk also said the company is planning to build a new USD 1.5 bln production complex in Vinnitsya region in 2010 that will have a designed annual processing capacity of 440 ths mt of poultry meat. The company plans to launch the facility at end-2012 or beginning-2013. The company can currently make 90 ths mt of poultry meat per year.
