Trasta Komercbanka to sell 50% stake in Misto Bank for USD 30 mln

Latvia’sTrasta Komercbanka announced on Friday that it plans to sell its 50.3% stake in Ukraine’s Misto Bank to Unimax for USD 30 mln. Trasta Komercbanka agreed to buy the stake in Misto Bank in July 2008 for USD 25 mln. Misto Bank was Ukraine’s #71 largest bank by assets, according to the National Bank of Ukraine, as of Jan. 1, 2009. Unimax, whose beneficiary is RosUkrEnergo co-owner Ivan Fursin, currently owns the remaining 49.3% of the ban.
