Verkhovna Rada again attempts to prolong moratorium on land sales to 2010

Yesterday, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine again voted to extend the moratorium on the sale of agricultural land, this time until January 1, 2010, according to UkrAgroConsult. President Yushchenko, on January 14, vetoed a prior law parliament passed in December 2008 that would have also extended the moratorium beyond this year.
