Motor Sich to boost Russian helicopter engine deliveries by 20% in 2009

4 February 2009

Motor Sich (MSICH) CEO Vyacheslav Boguslayev said yesterday at a press conference that the company plans to increase the volume of helicopter engine deliveries to Russia by 20% in 2009 to 400 units. According to Boguslayev, Motor Sich’s order book in 2009 totals USD 450 mln. Boguslayev refuted media rumors that the company was in talks with Russia’s Oboronprom regarding participation in a Russian helicopter manufacturing holding, and confirmed his plans to increase cooperation with Russian partners via opening this year in Russia a joint venture for servicing engines for Russian military programs.
