Ukrtelecom to issue UAH 250 mln in Series C-G bonds

Ukrtelecom, Ukraine’s state-owned telephone operator, reported that it plans to issue UAH 250 mln (USD 31 mln) in Series C-G bonds from Feb. 9, 2009 to Jan. 8, 2010. The coupon on the bonds is set at 30% annually for the first year of circulation. According to Ukrtelecom, proceeds from the issues will be used to increase the reliability and efficiency of its telecommunication network, build and modernize a fiber optic and mobile 3G network and develop new services.
