DTEK attracts loan to upgrade Komsomolets Donbasa

The Donbas Fuel and Energy Company (DTEK) said on Friday that it signed an agreement with Czech Ostroj Opava AS to supply roofing support to the mine by June 2009 for USD 19.6 mln. According to DTEK Coal Production Director Evgeniy Romashcin, the new equipment will improve performance and reduce the cost of coal. DTEK attracted a 5-year loan from UniCredit Czech Republic to finance the project.
