Zaporizhya Ferroalloy plans 75-80% capacity load in 2009

Zaporizhya Ferroalloy (ZFER) plans to load its production capacities 75-80% in 2009, implying a monthly production of 30-35 ths mt of ferroalloys, according to Interfax. The plant plans to operate 10 of 31 melting furnaces in 1Q09, equal to about 20-22% capacity utilization. The company also said it will orient more toward the domestic market this year. In 2008, Zaporizhya Ferroalloy produced 386.2 ths mt (down 21.4% yoy).
