Ukraine Shifts from Privatization Bidding to Open Auctions

According to Interfax, the Minister of Finance Viktor Pinzenik said that next year Ukraine will renounce privatization bidding as they limit competition. Instead, more competitive open auctions will be implemented. The state budget plan for 2008 envisions USD 8.6 bln in incomes from privatization.
