Ukraine Gets First G3 Mobile Operator?

22 December 2008

Yesterday Telesystems Ukraine, a small CDMA operator, announced the launch of its G3 mobile operator PEOPLEnet in Kyiv, Odesa and Dnipropetrovsk set for February 2007. The three main products the company plans to offer are internet, voice services and integrated services for business clients. Alexander Paraschiy: Telesystems is trying to get its G3 network of the ground before its minority shareholder Ukrtelecom (UTEL: BUY) begins providing services in March 2007. The launch of Telesystems could create synergies for UTEL in the promotion of new services.
