HeidelbergCement (Germany) bought the company using its subsidiary CBR Portland BV (Netherlands). The previous owners of Doncement were Golden Gate Business (Ukraine) – 24.2%, CIMERA Beteiligungen GmbH – 20.43% (Germany), CANISIA Beteiligungen GmbH – 23.55% (Germany) and Greendahl Investments B.V. (Netherlands) – 24%. Doncement owns annual production capacities of 1.6 ths mt (8% of Ukraine’s total capacity). The deal still has to be approved by Ukraine’s Antimonopoly Committee. HeidelbergCement (Germany) also owns Ukraine’s only two cement producers, which use energy-saving dry production process: Kryvyy Rih Cement and Dniprocement. Concorde Capital: The new purchase will increase HeidelbergCement’s capacity in Ukraine to 3,750 ths mt, 18% of Ukraine’s total output.
