Agriculture Ministry expects grain exports to renew in February 2009

Ukraine’s Agriculture Minister Yuriy Melnik said yesterday that he expected grain exports from Ukraine to renew in February 2009 because of a decrease in grain stock and higher anticipated global demand. Ukrainian grain exports declined to 1.8 mln mt in November, from 2.2 mln mt in October and 2.8 mln mt in September.
