Greek Alpha Bank Looking To Purchase Two Ukrainian Banks

Greece’s Alpha Bank SA, is seeking to buy controlling stakes in two Ukrainian banks worth up to roughly USD 660 mln each. According to the bank’s Chief Financial Officer, Marinos Yannopoulos, Alpha wants to buy two mid-sized banks with around 150 branches. The bank is seeking stakes between 60 and 85%. Alpha Bank SA is Greece’s third largest bank.
