SCM to Halt Plans for Dniproenergo, Waiting for Clarity From New Government

5 October 2008

SCM Financial Director, Denis Kireev, said yesterday that SCM would be halting investment plans into companies were there is a possibility that their privatizations could come under review from the new government. This announcement makes it clear that SCM is concerned about plans that a new government led by Tymoshenko could have for Dniproenergo (DNEN: HOLD). After climbing to almost USD 535 following the President’s call for three-party coalition talks, DNEN shares dipped to about USD 512 yesterday as it became clear that a Tymoshenko-Our Ukraine coalition was becoming more likely.
