Dniproenergo to spend USD ~4.5 bln on modernization by 2020

Dniproenergo (DNEN: BUY) supervisory board approved the company’s strategic plan by 2020, which foresees USD ~4.5 bln investments in reconstruction of generation facilities, the company announced yesterday. According to the strategy, annual electricity production will grow by 38.2% to 24.6 TWh in 2020. The company also plans to cut annual gas consumption by 8 times to 110 mln cm until 2020, and to increase annual coal consumption by 1.5x to 10.7 mln mt. Dniproenergo expects to up its market share of domestic electricity production from 8.9% to 9.4% until 2020.
