NC ECU Looking For $750m For The Modernization Of Energy Generators.

The National Energy Company of Ukraine (NC ECU) has begun examining different ways to attract funds for the development and moderation of several energy generating companies (GenCos). Among the projects the NC ECU’s plans to attract money for is completion of work at the Dnester Hydropower Plant and repairs and upgrades of several power blocks from Zakhidenergo (ZAEN: HOLD) Dniproenergo (DNEN: HOLD) Donbassenergo (DOEN: BUY) Centrenergo (CEEN: BUY) and Kievenergo (KIEN: HOLD).  Alexander Paraschiy: This is the first time the state has included KIEN into its reconstruction plans and may suggest that the government is considering assisting KIEN in its upgrades at CHPP #6.
