Ukrtelecom to Launch 3G Mobile Network in November

Ukrtelecom to Launch 3G Mobile Network in November

28 September 2008

According to Ukrtelecom’s (UTEL: HOLD) vice-president, the company will start provision of 3G mobile services in November in Kyiv. The launch of 3G mobile services, originally planned for spring 2007, was delayed due to a change in regulations on tenders for equipment purchases, which required the company to work out a new purchasing procedure. Alexander Paraschiy: We expect Ukrtelecom to start working in the mobile segment in Ukraine’s largest cities in mid-2008. The success of the company’s 3G project will depend on its marketing policy.
