Russia’s Bryansk Machine Building, which is a member of the Transmashholding group, the leading bidder for the state’s 76% stake in Luhanskteplovoz (LTPL: HOLD), received permission from the Antimonopoly Committee to buy the stake. Olha Pankiv: By applying for permission in advance of the tender, Transmashholding signalled its seriousness, as normally applications aren’t filed until after a tender is won. The government is due to decide on Wednesday whether the auction planned for Oct. 3 will go ahead.
