Agriculture Ministry upgrades its forecast for sunflower seed harvest to 5.6-5.7 mln mt in 2008

Ukraine’s Deputy Agricultural Minister Ivan Demchak said the ministry upgraded its forecast for the 2008 sunflower seed harvest to 5.6-5.7 mln mt from 5 mln mt. The ministry’s forecast for sunflower oil production is 2.4 mln mt for the 2008/2009 marketing year, which ends August 31, 2009.
