Motor Sich Inks Deal with Russian Military for 10 An-124 Engines

5 September 2008

Motor Sich (MSICH: BUY) continues to line up new orders as the Russian Ministry of Defense announced yesterday that it had reached an agreement with the CIS’ leading aircraft and helicopter engine producer for 10 D-18T engines for the An-124 Ruslan. The Ministry also said that it will buy 20 helicopter engines from Motor Sich in 2008. Inna Perepelytsya: These orders for the delivery of engines for the Ruslan aircraft in 2008 are way ahead of the timetable we previously thought – 2013. We estimate that the An-124 engine order is worth more than USD 40 mln.
