Russia Insurance Union eyes entering Ukrainian market

The Russia Insurance Union, a universal insurer, announced yesterday it is eying entrance to the Ukrainian and Azerbaijani markets. The company said it is looking at purchasing local insurers. Russia Insurance Union ranked #15 in the RBC rating of the largest Russian insurers in 1H08: the company’s general premiums written amounted to USD 187 mln, claims paid totaled USD 83.8 mln.
