Kryukiv Wagon To Sell 1,100 Freight Cars to Ukrzaliznytsya

Ukrzaliznytsya Deputy General Director Nikolai Sergiyenko said that it will purchase 1,100 freight railcars from Kryukiv Wagon (KVBZ: N/R) by 2008 at a cost of about USD 55 ths each. As part of its development strategy, Ukrzaliznytsya plans to completely replace its fleet of freight cars in the next five years. In 2008, Sergiyenko said the state-controlled railway monopoly plans to purchase about 3 ths gondola cars from Kryukiv and 5 ths from other manufacturers, potentially Stakhaniv Wagon (SVGZ: BUY) and Mariupol Heavy Machinery (MZVM: BUY).
