Fixed Capital Investments Rise 8.5% YoY In 1H05

Fixed Capital Investments Rise 8.5% YoY In 1H05

18 August 2008

According to the State Statistics Committee, fixed capital investments increased by 8.5% yoy in 1H05 to USD 6.1 bln. Concorde Capital: This year growth rates are hardly comparable with the 32.2% increase in capital investments registered for same period of last year. Uncertainty concerning the re-privatization process and the pressure placed on some business groups has put a damper on domestic and foreign investments in Ukraine. While we expect capital investments will accelerate in 2H05, the annual growth rate is unlikely to be higher than 28%, as was the case in 2004.
