ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih to launch pulverized coal injection at blast furnace #9

ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih (KSTL: BUY) announced on Friday it plans to launch pulverized coal injection technologies at its blast furnace #9 by 2012 and to build a sintering mill by 2013 (with annual capacity of 10 mln mt per annum). Both construction projects are scheduled to start in 2009. Estimated cost of the sintering mill is USD 5.2 mln. The company didn’t disclose the cost of the launching pulverized coal injection complex.
