Pakko Holding’s retail turnover soars 61% yoy in 1H08

Pakko Holding (5CBA GR: N/R) announced today it increased its retail turnover by 61% yoy to USD 109 mln in 1H08. The company’s selling space grew by 26% yoy to 64 ths m2. CEO Oleg Marchenko related the growth in turnover to the opening of new Vopak supermarkets and Pakko cash & сarry stores (+26 since July 2007), introduction of a single pricing strategy, implementation of a unified product mix determined by Pakko’s main office, and a 20% rise in retail turnover at the company’s central distribution center in Lutsk.
