Sumykhimprom Output 9.2% Up In 2Q05

In 2Q05, Ukraine’s major producer of titanium dioxide and phosphate fertilizers (100% state-owned), increased output at comparable prices by 9.2% over 2Q04 to USD 33.6 mln. Also, in 2Q05 the company posted growth in the production of titanium dioxide (6.8% yoy to 11.6 ths mt) and NPK fertilizers (11.5% yoy to 74.7 ths mt), while output of paints fell 1.8% yoy to 0.49 ths mt. Sumykhimprom specializes in the production of phosphate fertilizers and is the country?s largest producer of compound fertilizers. The company ended 2004 with a net profit of USD 0.24 mln.
