Russians Order 32 An-140-100 Planes.

18 July 2008

Ilyushin Finance and Aviacor aviation (both of Russia) signed a pre-contract agreement to purchase 25 An-140-100 planes in five years for EUR 225m. The planes, which use Motor Sich (MSICH: BUY) engines, will be leased to regional Russian aviation companies. Kharkiv State Aviation Company (Ukraine) is Aviacor’s general contractor. Earlier the FLK leasing company and Aviacor signed an order for 7 An-140s to leased to Russia’s Yakutiya airlines. Kharkiv State Aviation Company says its share in the An-140 production process is about 70%. Olha Pankiv: The announced orders will bring ~30 mln additional revenues to MSICH, which equips the plane with TV3-117VMA turboprop engines.
